Harry's Road house - don't miss this one. It's always great to be remember - greeted by even busy wait staff. From the special veggie salads - to incredible salmon plates, coconut curry carrot soup (that I could not get enough of) and finally, special consideration to my dog, the Sade burger; always done the way she loves to snarf it up. Love the funky ambience, the garden and the wait staff, even though in a Harried frenzie, remember what I love. To top it all off, the fabulous deserts and when I thought they could not be topped, she created the orgazmic peanut butter chocolate pie. OMG It took 5 months to relocate and now we live here and Harry's is always the meeting place that is familar, a good take out or just to sit with friends - dogs and chat about our horses and eat great food. Very creative Thank you!! RELOCATE and glad
Great Food, nice outdoor garden. We have eaten here at least a half a dozen times and the food has always been excellent. There is usually a wait and they do not take reservations but the food is great and very reasonably priced. Do not wast your time going to Bobcat Bites down the road where we recently had to wait an hour and a half.
Venture off the beaten path for hearty comfort food served with a Southwest twist..
The Scene
A friendly, down-home eatery off the beaten path. Guests can dine at the counter in a cheery, soda-fountain-like room that's accented with purple chairs, window sills and gingham curtains. In the larger dining area, brightly painted tabletops are offset by black and white photography on adobe walls. A sunny back patio surrounded by flowers and chatty bar area are also comfy places to settle in for a meal.
The Food
The comfort food here is served up with a Southwestern twist. Start with smoked chicken nachos, a hefty pile of chips topped with smoke-infused bits of chicken, cheese, guacamole, black beans, chives, jalapenos, sour cream and fresh, chunky salsa. If you're still hungry, a juicy, oversize burger on a warm bun is served with a pile of skin-still-on fries. For a true taste of Santa Fe, try flavorful blue corn turkey enchiladas smothered with melted cheese, sour cream, guacamole and red, green, or "Christmas" chili.
Steak. Funcky atmosphere and no wine license might scare you away but its worth it. Great food and locals drink a glass in the parking lot before they come inside. The steak melts in your mouth.
Out-of-the-Way Locals Funky Santa Fe Restaurant.. We weren't expecting this type of restaurant when we arrived. It was extremely casual - very non-attentive.... nothing really special about the food, but many, many merchants in town told us we just had to go to Harry's Road House. It was hard to find a parking place off the Old Pecos Trail (very busy frontage road to I-25). Cool sign and colorful frontage. I just wasn't impressed with the overall product..... sorry!
Great local spot. I have always had a good experience at Harry's Roadhouse. Sometimes there is a wait but it doesn't take long to get seated. The service is good, the menu has great variety and I have seen several celebrities at this favorite local spot. This is like home cooking when yoiu're too lazy to cook at home. From vegetarian thai curry to meatloaf sandwiches, you can't go wrong!
Real Santa Fe Hangout. Skip to tourist spots and get to Harry's. New Mexican comfort food at the best, whether breakfast or dinner. Usually crowded so don't let that deter you. Top quality ingredients, prepared with style and flavor.
I'm different in the City Different. Not cheap? Always crowded. Not good for groups. Small and compact seating. Great views outdoor. The bar is the old garage. Go there one time for sure.
Superb Restaurant.
We eat at Harry's Roadhouse about once a week. The food is SUPERB! The staff is courteous, attentive, accomodating, and knowledgable.
Harry's is at the top of our list for entertaining visitors to Santa Fe.
I miss this place .... Moved away and we think about this place all the time. Wish I could start up a franchise here in Tucson. Hang out in the bar, chat with Chad, enjoy a margarita (Hornitos & Grand Marnier), and sample some of the dinner specials.
