The Scene – A friendly, down-home eatery off the beaten path. Guests can dine at the counter in a cheery, soda-fountain-like room that's accented with purple chairs, window sills and gingham curtains. In the larger dining area, brightly painted tabletops are offset by black and white photography on adobe walls. A sunny back patio surrounded by flowers and chatty bar area are also comfy places to settle in for a meal. – – The Food – The comfort food here is served up with a Southwestern twist. Start with smoked chicken nachos, a hefty pile of chips topped with…

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!

by jenny0122

I've been there twice now. The first time was awesome, but after the treatment I had this evening I definitely won't back! After 20 minutes, I had to go to the bar to get my own water. My margarita sat on the bar that entire time while the ice melted into the drink (we could see it from our table but were unsure if it was ours until we saw our waiter FINALLY grab it and take it to us). My order was wrong and my husband was finished eating before they brought out my correct order. I told the waiter to forget it, but they brought it out anyway. They charged me for it, so I had to put it in a to-go box since we were ready to leave. I've never left a restaurant without eating, especially after driving 35 minutes to get there. They totally ruined our night. I won't be back!!!

Don't listen to "Harrysucks"!

by modza

Harry and Peyton have kept this place's spirit, rustic but clean and comfortable look, great classic and new dishes and desserts, fast and good bartenders, warm fires, beflowered patio, and hence the crowds, intact for a long time now (I've been coming since 1993). Tourists and locals are equally welcome, and although I haven't worked there, some of the staff have been there for many years, which suggests that maybe Harry's not so bad!!

  • Pros: Always a good meal and a great vibe
  • Cons: At peak hours, may have to wait

Owners unfriendly, food average

I have been going to Harry's on and off for 14 years and the owners have not acknowleged me once. The food is average and very high fat but the deserts are usually worth the visit

Bland, Disappointing

by mrskatfish

BLAND, disappointing, This is our third time trying Harry's, strike 3 your out! Breakfast was very bland, Ham special was actually seasoned well, but I felt like I was eating beef jerkey. Breakfast potatoes nice portion no seasoning. Service was actually good this time and the manager was receptive to my feedback on the ham. Oh yeah, need to try a new coffee blend.....one word YUCK!

  • Pros: Easy to get to
  • Cons: Unseasoned food

What a friendly place!

by OprahD

My wife and I stopped there on Sunday and enjoyed a wonderful New Mexican lunch but most of all I enjoyed the the tangy, not too sweet margaritas that "taste like you're drinking something" and the friendly bar maid and bar customers. What a friendly place! It's my favorite place to stop when I'm in that part of santa Fe.

  • Pros: food, service, friendly staff
  • Cons: parking is tough
