Needs a major house cleaning.. This is a restaurant that caters to locals. Very good food.

I like the spring rolls. Breakfasts are good too. Good coffee.

One problem that I see is the cleanliness of the restaurant.

The kitchen is to the right as you walk in. Don't look too closely you might be tempted to leave. The eating area floor is a grey concrete and is disgusting with dirt. It needs a power washing. The bath room too. Tables aren't cleaned off in a timely fashion and there are piles of dirty dishes in tub at the wait stations. Clean Up Your Act Folks!!

I love Counter Culture. I love this restaurant. The wait staff is minimal, but friendly and the menu is fantastic. Fresh, good food at unbelievabely low prices. Their foccacia burgers are WONDERFUL!!! The chocolate cake is truly decadent. I was there again today and had both. Although the burgers are so big, I had to bring the cake home for a late-night snack...YUM!! One of my favorite places in Santa Fe.

Fresh Food / Low Fuss / Afforable. Well, I did not discover this nook of a restaurant until after I moved from Santa Fe to San Diego. If I had known about it sooner I'd of been there once a week!

I have been 4 or 5 times now when back in town, and walked away happy, full, and with money to spare every time. I get the spring rolls with thai dipping sauce (7.00 ish) or the 1/2 sand/soup/salad (7.50). The spring rolls are fresh and the sauce is amazing. Piled high with carrots, sprouts, cilantro, etc. My husband has ordered the procuitto sand and salmon thai soup. Both were excellent.

If you are looking to go somewhere and feel special this is not the place. No uptight servers saying "sir, can I get you another............". If you are looking for great fresh food, a warm gethering atmosephere, and an afforable menu you might just become a regular.

Low-Class Hauteur. Uncomfortable, too brightly-lit, common food, and a very bizarre staff will make you wish you were in an old prison movie begging for grits.

best of the best for the price. The food is simply delicious. I had spring rolls, my friends had sesame noodles with chicken and the meatball sandwhich. We got plenty of food and lunch for 4 was about$28.00. I had dinner another night and the grilled tuna was impeccable on a bed of greens with a mango salsa and only $12.00. The wine choices were very good and VERY reasonable by the glass or the bottle. The owner came over and chatted with us and wanted to make sure our dining experience was nice.

service with a snarl. Dining experience left much to be desired....save your money, time, frustration....eat somewhere else.

Terrible Service. I was sorely disappointed in the way my friends and I were treated. Not only did it take 10 minutes to take the order of the people in front of us, but the woman was also very rude. No greeting whatsoever, just an expectant and impatient stare to imply that she was ready to take our orders. While getting my tea, another woman stood there instead of helping my friend. This second woman then replied to another customer who wanted to append something to her order (apparently she got her attention by waving money at her), then completely ignored my friend again after she did so. To top it off, they accidentally took our number before everyone at the table had received their food, and when me friend went back up, she reprimanded him with, "Make sure this doesn't happen again." I think we all agreed that it definitely won't.
