Davis NailI have been going to Da Vi since they opened in Edgewood and I have always been taken care by Nina, she is awesome and she treats customers very well - her pedicures and manicures are great, she takes her time and does not rush it!
I have been going to Da Vi for 2 years
and have only wonderful things to say about them. The staff here is so kind and polite. I love their work and
am very loyal to them. Sorry the other posting was such a horrible experience. I do know one of the male technicians is no longer there, so hopefully those kinds of experiences won't happen again. I've had many pedi's from the male and he is very good.
Worst Pre-Wedding Experience ever.
I was a customer in Da-Vi Nails in Edgewood a month ago, and the day before my wedding. I feel compelled to report my complete dissatisfaction and the horrible experience at this shop. My sister wanted to do something nice for me before I got married and treated me to a pedicure and manicure at this shop, so I indulged her, along with my flower girl and her mother, thinking it would be a fun day with the girls and that I would end up with pretty hands and nails for my wedding. To the contrary, It was a horrible experience, and I was almost in tears when we left; if I had the time, I would have gone somewhere else for a re-do, but unfortunately was not able to do that and it would not have help with the cuts around my nails anyway so was left having to go through my wedding with an ugly pedicure and manicure.
Mostly, the male technician (and I don’t have his name but he was the only male in the shop) was extremely rough and rude...I had cuts around my nails from the negligent way in which he used the drummel. Anytime I flinched (due to pain), he yanked my hand and angrily yelled, "Be still." I ended up with little niches around most of my fingernails, and he would not trim the tips as I asked him to do. It was so bad that I would not allow the wedding photographer to take any pictures of my hands the next day (they looked worse by then), and unfortunately we don’t have the traditional picture of our hands with our wedding rings after the ceremony.
My sister took me to this shop because of some very pretty art work that she had there before, but when it came time to ask if I wanted the art work, I just wanted to get the heck out of there. The pedicure experience was not so bad, except for the technician could not understand a single bit of English and communication was very difficult. I did end up getting up some art work on my toes, but not what I really wanted due to the language barrier. I have had much better pedicures at other shops.
Overall, it was a completely bad experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone - especially a bride who wants a pleasant experience before getting married. I would hate to see any other bride…or any customer…for that matter experience the disappointing, painful and upsetting type of experience I had and I cannot believe that that male technician is allowed to treat customers the way he does. It was ruined what should have been a happy, fun day with the girls before my wedding. There are plenty of other nail shops in and around Albuquerque...I will never go to this shop again!!
