Worst Hair I've had in a LONG time. Sadly, this salon was a huge disappointment. The person cutting my hair, seemed confused by my requests, irritated when I tried to steer the haircut towards what I wanted;. The result being a cut with uneven, too short, choppy bangs, blunt layers. Somebody asked me if I had cut my hair myself because it was so choppy. I went in hoping to maintain the style I had, it was really just a shortening of what I already had. Ususally stylists will comb through to see what the old cut was like, and ask questions. The person at blue monkey was more interested in pointing out that I had split ends, and rushing me along. I've heard that there are excellent stylists at this salon, but I wouldn't call and make an appointment with just anybody, get a name for sure. I haven't had a haircut that needs this much work to look good, with this many pieces to hide pin back, since I mother put a bowl over my head in the eighties.

They work magic!!!. I recently tried to dye my near black hair blonde at home. Oh boy was that a big MISTAKE. I had the oddest combo of red, black and blonde hair you had ever seen.

I called Blue Monkey to ask if they could fix it and to see how soon I could get in. They had me in the next day and the girl on the phone was so nice! She actually had the stylist who was going to fix my hair call me! He asked me what products I had used, and got a detailed idea of what he needed to do to fix it. All of this before I ever went in.

When I got there I didn't wait for a minute, I was seated right away. My stylist (John) was so sweet. He didn't make me feel like an idiot for trying to do my hair at home. He had a great sense of humor and even teased me about dying my eyebrows to match. (By the way, don't to that.) Between him, myself and another stylist we picked a beautiful shade of chocolate brown to dye my hair and eyebrows with. The color came out PERFECT.

At the same time I had my hair fixed I also had a hair cut. I chose a style that is very specific and it takes a highly skilled stylist to pull it off. Until I went to Blue Monkey, many places I had gone to had tried to give me that style but failed. John pulled it off with flying colors. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. I was so happy I could have cried.

Blue Monkey is great price wise as well they aren't you common salon so they are a bit up there to some. I paid $150 for a cut, color correction, consoltation and for great service with a smile. I will never go anywhere else as long as I live!!!!
